“Electro,” (2025) delves deeper into the creative tension between the acoustic instruments of the klezmer tradition and contemporary electronic modulation and processing. Electronic and hip-hop influences have already appeared on previous releases, including Mitzvos/Commandments (2021) and last year’s Hirsz Lejb Bakon: Cantor of Chrzanów (collaborated with cantor Rachel Weston). However, this new project takes the concept further, fully embracing a diverse range of musical material through contemporary production techniques and sonic experimentation.
The result is a dynamic and engaging performance that bridges tradition and innovation, bringing centuries-old musical heritage into dialogue with the sounds of the present.
Mojše Band Electro project is and space for meeting of old and new, is mainly remembrance of recordings, which are an integral part of whale band sound. Electro is a monument of pure people and their footprints over the centuries, given a chance to the present time.
